Hello all, welcome to my page. Feel free to just call me Scarlette

I call Louisiana home and am an aspiring graphic designer.

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, it's as much a part of me as breathing and as necessary. My sketchbook is probably my closest friend as it contains my dearest secrets. Pencil and paper are my preferred medium but my tablet and laptop are just as valuable tools. Like any artist, I tend to get excited over new ways of expression, which has me trying everything from photography and painting to jewelry-making and origami (successful or not) and getting a new pencil set or sketchbook can absolutely make my day.

My love and inspiration as of now is Hetalia~

All favs and watches are very much appreciated and please don't be upset if I don't respond to all comments. I do read them, it's just that I may not always have a response. But I do like talking to people, so my responses may end up being a little long

I'M BACK!

God, this semester really kicked my ass, but I am officially finished with school forever and...will now have to get a grown up job....

In the meantime I can get back to doing what I truly enjoy. I have so many ideas that I want to get on paper that I'm practically bursting from the seams with inspiration! I feel like I've missed out on so much too, it'll be good to get back into the swing of things here

Also thank you to all those who favorited my work in my absence. I'm sorry I couldn't get to you all to thank you but know that every one is appreciated

I've missed you guys a lot, it feels great to be back and feeling like myself again.

OK, I guess. My self-imposed isolation is sort of paying off. My senior campaign work is finally coming together and I've even got a few job applications in the works. I still won't be able to do any personal projects til after graduation though, since then I'll only need to concentrate on job searching and building up my portfolio with more personal work rather than schoolwork. It needs to reflect more of my personality rather than what the teacher's like, lol.

I know it's been awhile since we talked and I do apologize for...well...kinda leaving you guys hanging (I only really come here to clean out my inbox so I'm not going through 2000+ messages when I do officially come back). I'm still active on my Tumblr though, but it's mostly reposts of stuff I like

(easier than putting up actual content for the time being, lol)

You were having your own crisis if I recall correctly when we last spoke (I say crisis but that could be exaggerating juuust a bit, lol. I am going by my own experience though

I see. Well, at least you're doing better! As for myself, if you haven't seen my latest journal entry, I've been doing good art wise: I've finished the first part of my current story (the one with Philippe and Belgium) and am now working on part 2... Of course, it helps that I'm also entering the last dregs of my french class, so I don't do as much writting and my imagination dosn't feel as tasked.
