An image of Matthew I had in my head and decided to draw. He's based loosely on Kitak's Matthew, but it's not necessarily him, just inspired ;)

The title is both literal and metaphorical. It refers to the bouquet in his hands which has a lily and two roses but can also be a reference to Matthew himself (a colony of French origin in the British Empire), so the flowers can represent the characters themselves: Alfred and Arthur, the two roses, and Matthew, the lily.

That outfit he's wearing kinda makes him look like France almost. Almost...

As for the outfit, since he was a French colony at one point in time, it would make sense for him to look a little bit like France, at least that was what I was trying to portray here. I hope I didn't confuse you too much :)

Of course! Well, Canada does have some French influence (especially in Quebec), and he kind of looks like France too. Must be his "sexy (French) 'air"...:giggle:

This is gorgeous! I love the detail you put into the clothes, and the flowers are very well done (can't draw flowers to save her life :iconorzplz: ). I also really like the colors you used, particularly for the ribbons. :) And I agree with Pineapple; I want to hug him. :3

Thank my new tablet for those details ;) My old pen could only do one brush size and couldn't simulate pen pressure like this new one. I was able to get all kinds of little things done.

I wasn't sure about those ribbons, glad you like them :)

Mattie is quite huggable isn't he? lol
