Yep, I disappeared again but I had my reasons! Job hunting! Not as exciting as the italics make it look I assure you. I don't know how many applications I've filled out in the past weeks but I've only gotten one hit out of maybe 15...rather depressing. The one interview I got was for Signmaker at Whole Foods Market, specifically in Houston. I was luckily allowed to Skype my interview since there was no way I'd be able to make it in person. Of course this interview consisted of a six person panel...which is intimidating no matter how you look at it. Long story short I didn't get it...so I joined my parents on a trip to Branson (exciting, I know). It gave me a chance to get out the house though and unlike most people I actually enjoy my parents company. In fact if it were just me and my mom, we would've shopped the entire time! (A lot of the shows there are overrated to begin with...)
So, the job search continues. But I have an idea...I'm considering opening up commissions. Not only would it help me with paying bills but it would also alleviate boredom. Not to mention stimulate creativity! And you get something nice for your wall or desktop or whatnot fanart space. In the next few days if I get some good feedback from you, my dear watchers, I'll post my commission info here and make it official

For now I have to close them in order to focus on more personal projects and life issues but this doesn't rule out reopening in the future :)
Also, my husband and I will be traveling to All-Con in Dallas this year as part of our group SAD Entertainment. Featuring the popular panels "Wheatley Explains It All" and "Improve and Anime" as well as the all new "Wheatley Explains It All: After Dark!" We'll also be selling artwork, small on-the-spot pencil commissions, and autographing any autograph-able item (including the artwork if you'd like :)) So come by and say "Hi!" to us.

As you may have noticed I recently put up a chart with commission info. This may come off a strange being that I was away for so long but because of...certain events in life I'm in need of some extra income to help pay bills/rent/student loans etc. And (hopefully!) that's where you guys come in!

I'm Still Here
God, it's been over 6 months since I've done anything here. A lot has happened in that short amount of time though. You know that I had to take a retail job when I was let go from the magazine position. Not that all retail work is bad, but not when it makes you feel like less of a person. I seriously doubted my talents for a long time and had no desire or drive to do the one thing that makes me happy. It was one of the lowest points in my life.
But there were a few things that kept me going. I can't thank the universe enough for my fiancé. He was the one that kept me from falling into a total funk and encouraged me to keep going, that I

I'm sorry that you didn't get the Houston job. Glad you got to go to Branson, sounds like it was fun.
